Blanket Ta Dah!

Hi

I have been busy trying to get my blanket finished and managed to finally complete it last night.  I used the same edging from my previous blanket that I had made from Zooty Owl's Blanket a Long.

I really like this edging and I like the finishing touch it gives to the blanket.  It's easy to do too!

I love the chequerboard effect and think it is a perfect design for a man.  My husband is very happy with it so he will be warm next winter!

Well, that's another project completed so time to reflect and move on to the next one now.  My daughter is after her own blanket too and she likes colour!  A lot of colour!!

Bye for now

Blanketing along

Hi,

I have been sooo busy lately that I haven't been making much progress with any of my crafts really.  I have managed to finish the squares and joined them on my blanket.  So just the border to do next.

I have made a start with the border by double crocheting around the entire edge.

Not quite sure what I plan to do next but I am going with the flow on this blanket.  We visited the NEC last weekend and I have been adding to my crafting stash so other projects will be following soon when I get some more time.....

Bye for now

Resin necklace and ring

After experimenting with resin a few weeks ago I decided to have another go.  This time I used a thin layer of crafting guild on the base of the pendent and the ring and then applied the resin to set it in place.

Mixing different colours of crafting guild together enabled me to create a more vintage look ...

I need to stock up on some more resin to have another go at some other ideas.  Have lots more ideas on things that would work well !    I love the end result of this pendent and ring and want to experiment now with different colours

Red and Ocean Blue Necklace

This necklace was completed using the same techniques mentioned in my Pearl Necklace tutorial. This time I decided to use some dark red beads, breaking them up with some ocean coloured beads in-between. I also decided to use some thin silver beads to bracket the blue and make them stand out. These were the stages of making the necklace:

Bye for now,
Heather :)
