Ripple Pram Blanket - Ta Daa!

Hi,

I hope you have had a lovely Easter weekend.  We spent it at home this weekend and I must say I had a lovely relaxed day with plenty of crochet time.  I sat crocheting and watching Storm Katie begin to take hold and enjoyed looking at my daffodils as the rain dashed against the windows.

Daffodils are one of my most favourite flowers and I love the splash of yellow after the gloom of winter.  I had a very relaxed Easter Sunday and focused on getting my ripple pram blanket finished.  I am planning to visit my friend and her newborn little boy soon so it spurred me on to get this project finished.

I really love this Neat Ripple pattern from Attic 24 and have used it a couple of times now.  I will definitely return to this pattern again and again.  I particularly loved the colours for this blanket and I am really pleased with the finished result.

Well, that is another project completed and I always love that sense of satisfaction when you have finished a project.  I am determined to clear some of my ongoing projects before I start anything new so will move on to finish another next.

Happy Easter holidays

Bye for now

Spring has arrived

Hi,

Just returned from walking the dogs and it was absolutely beautiful out.  The sun was shining and most of our neighbours were out and about too.  It was nice to share 'hello's' as we walked to our local shop.
The sun was warm and it was lovely to feel it on our faces again.  I hope this isn't short lived!

I haven't had much time to myself this week so crochet has had to take a back seat unfortunately.  I did manage to get some Saturday night time in front of the TV and managed a few more rows on the pram blanket I am currently working on (Neat Ripple from Attic 24).

Looking forward to next Saturday(19th March) as I am off to the NEC with my Mum and my sister to visit the hobbycrafts show.  Always love to have a good look round this and add to my stash!

Bye for now

Three Projects on the go....

Hi,

Well I seem to be juggling projects at the moment.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I must say it is nice as I have fads on one project for a bit and then move on to one of the others for a while and so on.

One of these is my fusion blanket where I am creating a blanket with a mix of fabric and crochet.  I am making good progress with the squares and I have started to join some of these as I go.

This is quite a time consuming project as I need to sew the middle fabric squares before crocheting around the outer edge.

Another project that I have on the go at the moment is a large ribbed blanket which I using Cygnet Denim Aran wool to crochet with.  I tend to pull this one out late in the evenings and happily rib away.  It's a nice one to crochet when I am watching TV.

As you can see, it is coming along beautifully.  My third project is one I am about to start which is another pram blanket but this time with a blue focus for another friends new baby boy.

I am planning on using these four colours from the Stylecraft Special DK range.

Cream
Sherbet
Duck Egg
Storm Blue

I will post my progress with this when I have made a start on the first four ripples.  Anyway must go crochet to do...

Bye for now
